We offer a variety of options to ensure that your cell line meets the exact specifications required for your research:

  • Host Cell Lines – Mammalian cell lines, including HEK293, THP-1 cells, ...

  • Cell Line Modifications – Stable overexpression of gene(s) of interest via transfection or lentiviral transduction

  • Reporter – One or two inducible or constitutive markers for visualization and quantification, such as SEAP, Lucia® Luciferase, GFP, ACP5, or others

  • Promoters – Constitutive active or inducible: NF-κB, ISRE, NFAT, STAT1, STAT3, STAT4, STAT5, STAT6, ARE, CREB, and more

  • Antibiotic Resistance – Zeocin®, Blasticidin, Hygromycin, Puromycin, G418, and others

For your convenience, we include complimentary samples of key assay reagents, such as the appropriate selection antibiotics and reporter detection reagents (e.g. QUANTI-Blue™, QUANTI-Luc™, or QUANTI-Star™) so you can begin your experiments immediately.

To assist in scalability, we offer cell banking services, providing extra vials of your custom clone(s).

Service step by step

Service pathway step by step

Our streamlined process ensures a smooth and transparent experience from design to delivery. It is separated into two phases:

Phase I - Molecular Design & Validation (8-10 weeks)

1. Contact - Reach out to technical support to discuss your project needs and cell line specifications. Together, we will define the project timeline and formalize the service agreement. Once approved, we proceed with the cell line development.

2. Molecular Construction - Our experts design and construct the plasmid and, if required, produce lentiviral vectors.

3. Pool Development - We perform stable transfection or transduction into your selected host cell line, validate gene expression, and assess specific activity. A progress report is prepared.

Phase II - Development & Delivery (12-20 weeks)

4. Monoclonal Cell Line Generation - We conduct cloning and sequential screening of multiple clones. The best-performing clones are validated, expanded, and cryopreserved.

5. Quality Control - The selected clone(s) undergo thawing and maintenance for up to 20 passages with expression and activity validation to ensure long-term stability.

6. Product Delivery - A final report is prepared, and the chosen cell line(s) are shipped to you. For your convenience, we also provide complimentary samples of essential assay reagents, such as selection antibiotics and reporter detection reagents.

Frequently Asked Questions

Custom Cell Line Development Service

The cost of a customized cell line depends on multiple factors, including the complexity of genetic modifications, choice of the host cell line, licensing requirements, and additional validation steps. Just contact us, share your requirements, and we’ll provide a personalized quote.

The timeline varies depending on the complexity of the project and requests; it also depends on the cell line, growth characteristics, and culturing requirements. Typically, it takes our experts between 20 to 25 weeks, including cloning, selection, validation steps, reporting, and delivery.

Yes, we offer expedited development options to shorten the timeline where possible. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

Absolutely. You can choose multiple clones. For your convenience and scalability, we offer cell banking services, allowing for the production and delivery of multiple vials of your chosen clone(s) upon request.

Absolutely. We perform thorough QC testing, including sterility, mycoplasma detection, stability (up to 10 passages), expression validation, and functional assays to ensure high-quality results.

We perform stability tests to guarantee stability for up to 10 passages.

Our tech support team can advise on the best host cell line based on your research application, whether you need an immune cell model, adherent cells, or suspension culture. We work with a wide range of mammalian cell lines, including HEK293, THP-1, Jurkat, A549, Raji, RAW-264, and B16 cell lines.

No. To streamline your workflow we include complimentary samples of essential assay reagents, such as suitable selection antibiotics and reporter detection reagents with your final product delivery.
