IL-1β/IL-18 Sensor Cells

InvivoGen has developed IL-1β and IL-18 reporter cells derived fom the human embryonic kidney HEK293 cell line.

HEK-Blue™ IL-1β, HEK-Blue™ IL-1R and HEK-Blue™ IL-18 cells are useful to monitor bioactive IL-1β and IL-18 released by test cells upon inflammasome activation.

These cell lines express a secreted alkaline phosphatase (SEAP) reporter gene which is induced by NF-κB/AP-1 upon activation of the cytokine signaling cascade. Levels of SEAP in the supernatant can be easily monitored using QUANTI-Blue™ Solution.
