TLR9 Ligands
Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) is activated by specific unmethylated CpG-containing sequences in bacterial DNA or synthetic oligonucleotides (ODNs) in the endosomal compartment. These specific sequences called CpG motifs are present at high frequency in bacterial DNA but rare in mammalian DNA. The methylation status is a crucial distinction between bacterial and mammalian DNA. Unmethylated ODNs including a CpG motif can mimic the effects of bacterial DNA, inducing B-cell proliferation and activating cells of the myeloid lineage.

Stimulatory ODNs
InvivoGen offers a comprehensive collection of stimulatory CpG ODNs, their control ODNs, and labeled CpG ODNs that provide useful tools for studying TLR9-mediated activation.
Each stimulatory ODN is available in 3 quantity : 200 μg, 1 mg and 5 mg.
Labeled ODNs is provided as 50 μg.

E. coli DNA
Unlike mammalian DNA, bacterial DNA is rich in unmethylated CpG motifs and thus activates TLR9.
InvivoGen provides two forms of E. coli DNA: double-stranded DNA and single-stranded DNA complexed with a cationic lipid.
